God’s poop! We’ve only gone and made a third season! We jump right back in with three stunning performances from homegrown talent Charlene Soraia. With a little help from the Great British Brew, the young londoner rocketed to the top of the iTunes chart late last year with her cover of The Calling’s “Wherever You May Go” but its in her own songs that she really shines. Born in South London to hippy parents, Charlene first picked her dad’s guitar at the tender age of 5, plucking away at it in secret until the strings broke. After that episode her father bought Charlene her own guitar and she proceeded to teach herself to play. Influenced by 60′s psychedelia, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, King Crimson and jazz, she has crafted her own unique style. Signed to Peacefrog Records, home of Jose Gonzalez and Nouvelle vague and with her debut album produced by Paul Stacey, It’s not just her mastery of guitar which stands her out from the crowd, her astounding vocal prowess and songwriting ability promises a long and varied career. First up a brand new track called ‘Animal’. Enjoy. x Follow Charlene: @charlenesoraia Like Charlene: facebook.com/CharleneSoraia Buy the Record: charlenesoraia.com
